Blogger This Week - VASE

Ok blog fans, this week I have been getting a piece ready for VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) that will be at Permian High School on Saturday, February 15th. This year is the first year that I haven't done a project specifically for VASE but I am working on altering a previous assignment for the competition. I am using my inked skeleton and I am adding a little artistic flare to it. In this group of pictures I will show you the piece I plan to alter, my plan for alteration, words used for the alterations, and my materials that I am using. The idea of this piece comes from the phrase, "Sticks and stones my break my bones but words will never hurt me."

This is the piece that I am altering for VASE.

Blogger Oops!

Ok my dedicated bloggers, I have experienced a major glitch with my Blogger App and so I am having to throw everything that I was trying to post in Blogger ALL WEEK!! So...here goes.

I have a new assignment drawing a new still life which is pictured below along with my preliminary sketches. I haven't started a finished product yet because it has yet to be determined what we are doing yet. Aside from these preliminary drawings, I have been working on stamps and clay for Friday (1/31/14). Also, I was assigned a very odd task from my art teacher in which I had to obtain a bag full of horse poo.

Yeah, it's been an eventful week...
